More than a colorant. Aquashade® Aquatic Plant Growth Control is a precise EPA registered blend of dyes proven to control underwater aquatic plants by limiting sunlight available for photosynthesis.
Treating at 0.8 ppm controls most underwater aquatic plants. Using a rate of 1.5 to 2.0 ppm will provide better control in shallow waters or where plants are within 2 feet of the water surface.
Pour directly into water. Dispersion can be accelerated by applying in several areas around the treatment site, or allowing fountains/aerators to run.
For best results, apply early in the season, prior to plant germination.
Waters treated with this product may be used for swimming, fishing, further potable water treatment, livestock watering or irrigating turf, ornamental plants or crops after treatment. Do not use in waters containing Koi and hybrid goldfish. Not intended for use in small volume, garden pond systems.
This product is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in the following states. Registration status may be subject to change.
